Well the briefest of notes from this cold paradise. The second day of our break involved me having a giant migraine, and barely being able to move. Did it spoil our time, well not for me, an excuse to sit together, not move, and have gentle conversation, a luxury we rarely have the time for. -47- A shitty day at work 10 hours not the four I had planned. Unexpected and ugly were also in attendance today. A dirty martini for me. A mojito for her. Seven lovely oysters each it was my birthday after all. Steak au poivre perfectly cooked spit between us. A glass of perfect peppery zinfandel, creamed spinach and mushroom saute. Jon Autumn and some good news

As many of you know I devote a fair amount of time to non work related writing, poetry in particular. Malate Banufong Hello from Typhoon Manila

Hello everyone I am a new arrival at Beau Belle and I have now managed to register here after taking advice from Teesa about what the right date of birth for registering was and waiting for the worst Typhoon in 40 years to pass through! My cousin Adonis Adamski has also moved in and has a little office and cottage here and helps run the shop we have in the Village. I have also a little house here. Eventdriver Enoch Painful Weekend

Serious injury to my sister-in-law "forced" a trip to Northern Illinois. The usual routine of hospitals, medics, etc. seemed the order of the day but i found time to take some quiet walks in favourite places: Gilson Park and Harbour, Wilmette, The Baha'i Temple and Gardens, and the Magic Hedge at Montrose Harbour. Teesa Beattie Don't you love it when a party just happens.

Just last night four of us were dancing at the Leonard Cohen Club, the mood and tunes were sweet and mellow, then suddenly we were six, then eight. The mood improved even more, as gentle banter fluttered around the Beau Belle and Leonard Cohen Groups, and then we were ten, twelve, twenty... and a wonderful night was had by all, I left weary and smiley in the early hours with people still dancing in the club.
