Some people say Second Life is just a game. I think it's more than this, SL is a Virtual World, where people - or their alter-egos, or their souls, or their inner selves - live a different life, by conscious choice. SL is a Game of Life.
And being a world, there are those people who play games in-world, those who work, travel, fight, teach, learn, talk, do absolutely nothing, marry... and die. That's why I'm writing this blog post.
Last week, September 26, I went to a Wedding Ceremony and Party, for the first time in my second life. Our friend and former Beau Belle Resident, 2qt2bstr8 Bailey and Shiloh Darwin got married. It was a very beautiful ceremony followed by a happy party, with a lot of beautiful people using a lot of attached prims causing a lot of LAG... a happy LAG. ;)

Today, October 4, I took part in a Memorial Service in an Anglican Church, for the first time in my first (that so called real) and second lives. Every month since March (I was born in Jan 1, 09 on SL) I play a game named "Nessie Hunt" in
Scottish Highlands Sim. Last Friday I received a notice about Dag Glenelg's RL demise, and he won the second ever Nessie Hunt in April 2008. I didn't know Dag, but I had a feeling that I had to go, since we at least had something in common.
And was a moving experience. All those prayers and music, in a wonderful place -
Sarras Chapel - with a lot of people mourning a friend, really touched me. I'm glad and sad at the same time, missing someone I never met in these lives.

Now I ask again: Just a game? No, it's The Game of Life. :)
